IN THE NEWS.......

4/7/13 Maria achieved a very prestigious certification in the field of Middle Eastern Dance- Level 1 SSBD Certification in the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance!  She had the opportunity to once again study with her mentor Suhaila, perform in a show and this year, test for the certification.  History was made, as this was the first time Suhaila offered the certification program in the State of Florida.

Maria has studied with the top Middle Eastern Dance Artists and Instructors in the industry such as world famous Suhaila Salimpour, Sadie (Raks Sharki style), Rachel Brice (Tribal Fusion Style), Nourhan Sharif (Raks Sharki and Saedy styles), Nesma Al-Andalus (Oriental Style), Mohamed Kazafy (Saedy style), Dalia Carella (Gypsy/Roma style) , Jaya Vaswani (Bollywood), Portia Lange (Raks Sharki), 2011 and 2012 Bellydance Masters Intensive workshop with Mia Sha'uri, Karen Barbee, Oud Master Naser Musa, and Master Percussionist Miguel Crespo. 
She is continuously training in the Suhaila Salimpour and Jamila Salimpour programs, and achieved a Certification in Level 1 SSBD in April 2013. She is working towards the Jamila Salimpour Level 1 Certification in April of 2014.
Maria also has training in a variety of dance styles such as Polynesian, Flamenco, Brazilian Samba, Colombian, Salsa, Caribbean and more through years of instructor certifications and workshops.

To date Maria has been featured on 3 album covers and in numerous videos by world renown musician Harri Kakoulli, formally of the band Squeeze.
